Konika Printer Missing TCP_IP Protocol Port Not Available
PROBLEM
Printers may disappeared or get uninstalled. Also when trying to add a printer via TCP/IP the only port available is IPP Device. This can also cause that when installing the drivers, it gets cancelled middle install.
SOLUTION
If the TCP/IP Device option is completely missing from the "Device type" dropdown and you only see "IPP Device," a system feature called Windows Protected Print Mode (WPP) is likely enabled. When active, WPP restricts printer installations to modern, secure protocols (like IPP) and disables legacy options like the Standard TCP/IP Port.
- Disable Windows Protected Print Mode
This is the most common reason TCP/IP disappears from the manual install wizard in newer versions of Windows.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. Check for a setting titled Windows Protected Print Mode.
If it is On, click Turn off. You may need to restart your computer.
Try adding the printer manually again; the TCP/IP option should now be available in the "Device type" dropdown.

Not only this setting prevent you from installing certain printers, and the use of TCP/IP but when you manually enabled it it also uninstall printers that are not compatible with Windows 11.
